SEA thai bistro, Brooklyn, NY A

FINALLY!!! since i have some down time, i decided it's time to appease all the foodchick fans and finally post.

the first New York spot that i wanted to let you all know about is SEA thai restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. are you a garden state freak? do you remember that Sex and the City episode where Samantha meets Smith? well, both of those popular media scenes were shot at this very restaurant in the heart of brooklyn (114 North Sixth St. between Wythe and Berry streets in Williamsburg).

upon entering the restaurant, my friends Leslie-Anne and Jamila, and I were overwhelmed by the hip atmosphere, asian decor, incredible lighting... it's hard to describe. check this link for a picture (http://www.go-brooklyn.com/index.html?html/issues/_vol26/26_05/sea.html)

we actually had to come back a second time, since the first time, the wait was about 1.5 to 2 hours. this time, we were immediately seated and were given the world's cutest menu. bundled up thai postcards with the different courses listed on each. we were definitely tempted to steal one but ended up giving them all back.

with thai iced teas all around, we ended up ordering pad thai, a chicken dish, and a beef dish. all ranged in the $6 to $8 range... EXCELLENT prices for the restaurant ambiance and new york cost of living.

we were continually mesmerized by the fact that zach braff had been in the same restaurant and that SJP had been in the very same seats that we were. therefore, we had to check out the restrooms, cause their asses may have touched the same toilets. the restrooms were out of this world. each (unisex) was it's own independent round room.. think of a huge tree trunk with a toilet in it. and the faucet was a common sink that resembled a sort of drinking fountain.

the food was delicious! at the quality you would expect for that price, but the ambiance enhanced the whole experience overall.

for dessert, we ordered a coconut custard... delish.

more specifics later...
and more new york reviews later...
